Mexico Poem #3
© Allan Markin

the pool hall is empty
except for a young couple
he is well positioned to teach her
the strokes

in the iron-grey light I see
happy children playing
on mattresses
tossed into the corner
a young girl points
to the banio
it is filthy
I leave
empty
